Guantanamo.- The Colmenita Guantánamo children’s theater company will arrive this weekend in the community of Paraguay as part of its tour called Tocando corazones (Touching Hearts), which aims to bring fun and joy to audiences with limited access to this type of performance and residents of areas affected by Hurricane Melissa.

The tour combines the performance of theatrical plays, games, and songs that allow for audience participation and includes songs such as “Por Una Sonrisa” (For a Smile), “El Grillo Juan” (Juan the Cricket), “Casa Cariño” (Home of Love), and “Ternura” (Tenderness), all these heartwarming songs foster in each child the ability to be a better person and aso increase optimism, motivation, and happiness deeply appreciate.

The tour began long before the impact of Hurricane Melissa in the towns affected by the tropical wave: Cayamo and Caimanera. Following the hurricane’s impact, the members volunteered to go to the hardest-hit areas.

According to Gidaisi Sariol Ramírez, the company’s music teacher, La Colmenita Guantanamo has so far visited communities like Ho Chi Minh City and La Javilla, where they were warmly welcomed by the public, who readily joined in the performance. This is a testament to the charisma and talent of the theater group, who dedicate their weekends to spreading joy even in the darkest of times.

The teacher also emphasized that it was the perfect opportunity for the children in the company to gain experience in artistic creation, rising to challenges such as the lack of electricity in the places they visit.

In this way, the members of the Colmenita Guantánamo as little bees brought their honey to communities that, in difficult times, need a little of the joy they transmit through games, music, dance, and an open heart.
