Patients with oncological pathologies at the Pedro Agustín Pérez Children´s Hospital in Guantanamo received toys, books and artistic actions from students, teachers, promoters, and cultural and educational participants.

Every year the Jose Martí Cultural Society together with the Marti Youth Movement calls to share love, hope and gifts to the children hospitalized in the health institution founded in 1918.

Dr. Yuslimia Ross Mulgado, first-grade specialist in hematology and head of that department in the care unit, said that those diagnosed with malignant tumors are referred to Santiago de Cuba and cases of leukemia have a guarantee of care and follow-up here

in the province. These are protocols that last ten years until full recovery.

Dr. Francisco Marsillí, director of the aforementioned hospital, completed the information: “We care for children with the characteristic care of a sector that, in the face of blockade, always looks for favorable alternatives for the sick.”

He also expressed his gratitude to the Marti followers in Guantanamo for bringing joy to the little ones with this chronic pathology.
