Guantanamo.- For the fourth time, members of the Venceremos solidarity brigade from the United States return to Argeo Martínez, a community of Manuel Tames Municipality, in Guantánamo Province, to ratify their support for the Cuban Revolution and the fight to eliminate the genocidal blockade that the North American government maintains against the Antillean nation.

After the reception at the Argeo Martínez sugar mill, the main economic center of this town, the brigade members shared a special moment with the members of the several-award-winning community project Jaguey-La Ezperanza, led by the teacher Jordanis Grandales, have achieved important distinctions at the national level based on their work in favor of social transformation and the rescue of the Haitian traditions which nourished the essences of popular culture in this territory.

At the end of the exchange, Pamela Emanuel, representing the young people who make up this brigade, expressed her deep emotion and gratitude for allowing her to live this beautiful experience at this very moment when capitalism incites us to forget history. She added that from now on she will have more reasons to defend even more the right of Cubans to live in peace and to continue building their destiny without interference from foreign powers.

Rachid, another young American member of the United African Party, also stressed that as the name of this brigade recognizes, the Cuban people will win because it is a worldwide reference that a better world is possible.

Made up of more than 90 Americans, the Venceremos solidarity brigade, 55 years old, is the oldest of those around the world that embrace the defense of the Cuban Revolution and every seventh month of the year, they pay homage to Fidel Castro and share the celebrations for July 26, the day on which Cubans ratified their will to turn setbacks into victory.
