Guantanamo.- As part of the working visit to Guantánamo Province, the Vice Minister of Culture in the country, Lissette Martínez Luzardo, together with a team of specialists from this ministry, held a meeting with representatives of the institutions, centers and councils of this sector in this eastern territory, in which they exchanged about the design of the Summer cultural program, and about the budget projections of this sector for the coming year 2025.
During her visit, the Vice Minister of Culture also participated in the Provincial Council of the José Martí Brigade of Art Instructors, a space in which she spoke with the members of this movement regarding the impact of their contributions to the Cuban educational model, and of their training work in cultural institutions and community spaces, from which they exalt the tradition and identity of the nation.
Likewise, she referred in this meeting to the importance of sharing the experiences of the projects and initiatives carried out by Guantanamo art instructors with brigade members from other provinces in national workshops, as platforms to foster the socialization of the work of this cultural movement.
The Vice Minister of Culture, Lissette Martínez Luzardo, also visited the headquarters of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Guantánamo and the Provincial Committee of the Cuban Writers and Artists Association (UNEAC), where she exchanged with representatives of the membership of both organizations, and inquired about the repair process of the House of the Young Creator.
The Vice Minister of Culture of Cuba also arrived at the Primero de Mayo Community, where she witnessed the show “Zumbido de Amor en Modo Verano”” by the Colmenita Guantánamo Children’s Theater Company, and the “Llegó la Música,” an initiative performed by the Concert Band of the El Salvador Municipality, sponsored by the Provincial Music Center Lilí Martínez Griñán, as part of the proposals of the artistic movement of the territory during the summer stage.
