Guantánamo.- The Executive Committee of the World Peace Council (WPC) strongly condemned the US blockade on Cuba and its categorization as an alleged state sponsor of terrorism.
Fernando González, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) told Prensa Latina that as a result of a meeting in Kathmandu, the participants expressed solidarity with Cuba in the face of the effects of the natural phenomena that impacted the island. “The interventions and speeches of the president, general secretary, and executive secretary of the WPC, in addition to those of the majority of the delegates, included expressions of recognition to the island and support for our people,” stressed González, who represented ICAP at the gathering.
