{"id":10370,"date":"2024-10-18T07:03:02","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T11:03:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/?p=10370"},"modified":"2024-10-18T11:07:34","modified_gmt":"2024-10-18T15:07:34","slug":"cuba-and-ecuador-highlights-the-results-of-the-first-business-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/cuba-and-ecuador-highlights-the-results-of-the-first-business-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuba and Ecuador highlights the results of the first Business Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/c-bq0mua.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"766\" height=\"421\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/c-bq0mua.jpg 766w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/c-bq0mua-300x165.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 766px) 100vw, 766px\" \/>Guantanamo.- Authorities and businessmen from Cuba and Ecuador today highlighted the results of the first Business Forum between the two nations, which took place from Wednesday to Friday in the Ecuadorian province of Guayas.<\/p>\n<div class=\"body-noticia col-md-12 col-sm-12 col-xs-12\">\n<div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>For Miguel Ben\u00edtez, president of the Ecuador-Cuba Chamber of Commerce, the meeting is an unprecedented event which has placed both public and private companies in the same space, in pursuit of the development of projects and the search for joint business opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with the Cuban press, Ben\u00edtez explained that the objective of the Forum is to give Ecuadorian businessmen a vision of the potential of commercial relations with the Caribbean island.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ben\u00edtez, the medium-term expectation is to significantly increase the trade balance, both in the marketing of goods and services.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the progress achieved in recent days, he mentioned the conversations in areas such as tourism and health combining the Cuban methodological experience with the customer service processes in Ecuador.<\/p>\n<p>In his opinion, the main obstacle is the lack of awareness of the potential for exchange, and of existing information in Ecuador about the transformation processes of the Cuban economic model.<\/p>\n<p>In that sense, the president of the Ecuador-Cuba Chamber of Commerce said that the Chamber is linked to the new forms of non-state management existing in the Caribbean nation to promote its rapprochement with Ecuadorian companies.<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that the chamber is a representative of civil society, in accordance with its constitutionally granted right to form associations. However, it is still in the process of obtaining legal status for commercial purposes.
