Marlene Salazar Salazar, the National Radio Award winner, passed away on November 5 in Guant\u00e1namo at the age of 78, after a long and recognized career at the provincial radio station CMKS during which she has been awarded numerous prizes and awards.<\/p>\n

The Cuban Radio bids farewell to the scriptwriter and director of the radio broadcast, who from her native Guant\u00e1namo won several generations over with her children’s programme Los Pinos Nuevos<\/em>, as well as others such as Encuentro con el Maestro<\/em>, the radio dramatic serie Entre T\u00fa y Yo, in which she imposed her mastery and her way of doing things.<\/p>\n

Marlene Salazar holds at the time of her death the Distinction for Cuban Culture, Radio Microphone, Artistic Merit Award and recognitions from the Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed Cultural Society such as the Utilidad de la Virtud, Honor Honor and Homeland, among many others.<\/p>\n
