\"\"Guantanamo.- The institutional profile on the Facebook social network of the Provincial Council of Plastic Arts in Guant\u00e1namo announced that after the inauguration of the 25th Jos\u00e9 V\u00e1zquez Pubillones Visual Arts Contest in the Art Gallery of the Salcines Palace, the award ceremony of this contest took place, in which the local creator Alejandro Padilla Moplaisi was the winner with the work entitled “El Cauce” (The riverbed).<\/p>\n

Likewise, the publication specifies that the jury of this Provincial Contest awarded the Guantanamo creator Alejandro Padilla Moplaisi, based on a rigorous selection in accordance with the existence of a harmonious balance between the content and the form of the work, as well as with the aesthetic value of the piece in which its author managed to show his argument with skill and creativity.<\/p>\n

The competition’s evaluation committee also awarded mentions to the works: ” Tr\u00edptico Tri\u00e1ngulo\u201d (I,III,IV Triangle Triptych I,III,IV), by George P\u00e9rez Gonz\u00e1lez; “Tr\u00edptico”, (Triptych), belonging to the series: “Espuelas”, by the young photographer \u00c1ngel Terrero S\u00e1nchez; as well as to “El Arca” (The Ark), created by \u00c1ngel \u00cd\u00f1igo P\u00e9rez; and to “El Fest\u00edn del elegido” (The Feast of the Chosen One), by Ernesto Cuesta Esteris, together with the untitled piece, by the visual artist Alexander Beat\u00f3n Galano.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the jury was made up of the Doctor of Sciences and professor of Art History at the University of Oriente, Tania Garc\u00eda Lescaille; the specialist of the Provincial Council of Plastic Arts of Santiago de Cuba, Mariola Jim\u00e9nez N\u00fa\u00f1ez, and the visual artist and member of the UNEAC in Guant\u00e1namo, Diorges Gamboa S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n

The exhibition of the 25th Jos\u00e9 V\u00e1zquez Pubillones Visual Arts Contest is displayed at the Palacio Salcines Gallery in this eastern city, and brings together more than twenty works, including installations, photographs, sculptures and oil paintings on canvas, by visual creators from the municipalities of Im\u00edas, Baracoa and Guant\u00e1namo.<\/p>\n
