\"\"Guant\u00e1namo.- The Guantanamo men’s team finished fifth in the eighth edition of the National Boxing Series, which was held at the Rafael Fort\u00fan Chac\u00f3n boxing hall in the city of Camag\u00fcey.<\/p>\n

The Guaso boxers finished fifth scoring 251 points, in a competition in which Holgu\u00edn won the title with 287 points and was undefeated, followed by Camag\u00fcey (271) and Cienfuegos (253). The boxers from Matanzas were off the podium, placed in the fourth position were (226) and in sixth and seventh place were Pinar del R\u00edo (198), and Sancti Sp\u00edritus (146).<\/p>\n

In the individual distinctions, the performance of Guantanamo Keylor Garc\u00eda in the 75 kg stood out as the most technical and the Olympic champion Erislandy \u00c1lvarez de Cienfuegos in the 63.5 kg as the most combative. The official retirement of Santiago native Yunier F\u00e1bregas 51 kg was also an emotional moment.<\/p>\n
