During a general audience at the Vatican\u2019s Paul VI Hall this Wednesday, His Holiness stated that too many minors in the world are \u201cmistreated, violated, or abandoned,\u201d and reflected on \u201cthe scourge of child labor, which is more rampant.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Holy Father stated that children in the world are \u201cexploited by an economy that does not respect life\u201d and \u201cin this way, the greatest deposit of hope and love is burned,\u201d the Vatican News website reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are too many children who are forced to work, denied the right to be children, loose their smile,\u201d and \u201ca child who does not dream cannot know or develop his or her talents,\u201d Pope Francis said while calling for \u201cpreventing and strongly condemning any abuse they may suffer.\u201d<\/p>\n
