\u201cI asked the Foreign secretary to find out exactly (\u2026) We are going to see how the CELAC meeting is planned and if I would participate personally or through the Foreign secretary or some other colleague, to see what are the considerations of this meeting,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

In statements to local radio, Honduran Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Torres ratified on Monday that the meeting of the regional organization\u2019s leaders will be take place on Thursday in a hybrid format.<\/p>\n

Several countries, including Brazil and Colombia, have expressed their disagreement with the deportation mechanism implemented by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, who hours after his inauguration a week ago declared a national emergency on the south border.<\/p>\n

Migrants are transported in military planes, handcuffed and treated as if they were criminals, Torres denounced.<\/p>\n
