These initiatives not only enriched the local heritage, but also boosted Guant\u00e1namo at a national level.<\/p>\n<p>To reach this date, from February 10th, the instructors&#8217; day takes place throughout the country, which includes tributes for the 20th anniversary of the Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed Brigade, the 45th anniversary of the Olga Alonso group, the 40th anniversary of the Rub\u00e9n L\u00f3pez Sabariego Cultural House and the amateur artists&#8217; movement.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, the Best Art Instructor of the year is awarded, to recognize those who have promoted social transformation through creation and teaching.<\/p>\n<p>Art Instructor&#8217;s Day pays tribute to the birth of the outstanding Theater Instructor Olga Alonso Gonz\u00e1lez, who was born on that day in 1945, one of the first to respond to Fidel Castro&#8217;s call for young people to study art, and then go to the most remote places in the country to teach its inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed Brigade, the 80th birth anniversary of Olga Alonso and the 130th anniversary of the landing of Mart\u00ed and G\u00f3mez at Playita de Cajobabo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guantanamo.- The national event for Art Instructor Day took place at the Guaso Theater in Guantanamo City, in recognition of the province&#8217;s work in sociocultural projects and the impact on Cuban artistic promotion.
