The stern and bow stroke are fundamental techniques for maximizing performance in competition, and it is crucial that our young sailors feel comfortable and confident executing them,\u201d said Loo Leyva.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to training, local regattas are organized as part of the preparation process. These competitions allow young people to put what they have learned into practice and face real-life racing situations, which contributes to their confidence and skill on the water. The training sessions focus not only on technique but also on teamwork and race strategy, key elements for success in any competition,&#8221; said Vladimir Char\u00f3n Lao, director of the Northern Sports Complex.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Additionally, entry regulations are developed with a group of local boys and girls who are interested in sailing,&#8221; explained the national sailing referee.<\/p>\n<p>Sailing continues to be the sport that contributes the most athletes from Caimanera to the national team. There is a great deal of expectation among Coaches and athletes so as the first category competition approaches.
