\"\"The President of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba, Juan Esteban Lazo Hern\u00e1ndez, is leading the parliamentary visit to the province of Guant\u00e1namo, which will take place from Thursday to Saturday, April 26.<\/p>\n

The member of the Political Bureau also held his first meeting in the municipality of Im\u00edas, Cajobabo-Veguita People’s Council, the district where Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed and M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez landed 130 years ago.<\/p>\n

At the 11 de Abril Museum, a site that treasures the history of the Playita de Cajobabo landing, considered the most significant date in Guant\u00e1namo, Lazo Hern\u00e1ndez learned from students in the Museum’s Pinos Nuevos Historiadores Interest Club about the help that peasant Salustiano Leyva provided to Mart\u00ed in his participation in the necessary war, and encouraged the children to deepen their knowledge of local history.<\/p>\n

During his visit to the town of Cajobabo, in Im\u00edas, he inquired about the community’s transformations following Hurricane Oscar last October, the planned investments to generate development, and explained the country’s energy situation and the solutions for its improvement.<\/p>\n

He also informed the population that the agenda of the parliamentary visit to Guant\u00e1namo includes evaluating the functioning of the Municipal Assemblies of People’s Power, addressing the concerns raised by the population, derived from the first accountability process of the delegates to their constituents, and verifying the progress of the government’s plan to correct distortions and boost the economy.<\/p>\n

In San Antonio del Sur, the president of the National Assembly of People’s Power toured the Valle de Caujer\u00ed Vegetable Canning Subsidiary Company. There, he learned about the productive commitments for 2025, highlighting the processing of tomatoes and mangoes, and the diversification of pickled products such as okra, cabbage, green beans, and others.<\/p>\n
