In her speech, Idaliena D\u00edaz Casamayor, President of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Guant\u00e1namo, recalled the 130th anniversary of Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed’s death in combat on May 19, 1895. She also highlighted the anti-imperialist legacy of this most universal of Cubans and the mastermind behind the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de C\u00e9spedes Barracks, an action that was established as the Day of National Rebellion in 1953.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
