{"id":13305,"date":"2025-06-30T13:13:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-30T17:13:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/?p=13305"},"modified":"2025-06-30T13:13:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T17:13:02","slug":"guantanamo-on-26-in-frequency-with-the-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/guantanamo-on-26-in-frequency-with-the-people\/","title":{"rendered":"Guant\u00e1namo on 26: In Frequency with the People"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13306\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/en-frecuencia-con-el-pueblo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/en-frecuencia-con-el-pueblo.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/en-frecuencia-con-el-pueblo-300x135.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/en-frecuencia-con-el-pueblo-768x346.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/>Guantanamo.- Motivated by the upcoming celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba and the Carlos Manuel de C\u00e9spedes Barracks in Bayamo, the radio program En Frecuencia con el Pueblo addressed the achievements and commitments of the province of Guant\u00e1namo, which recently received recognition from the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the context of national emulation for July 26, National Rebellion Day.<\/p>\n<p>Yoel P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda, first secretary of the PCC in the territory, Alis Azaharez, the Governor, along with agency directors, offered information to the Guantanamo audience on Transporters&#8217; Day, whose national event was held in this part of the island.<\/p>\n<p>Hence, Henry Rodr\u00edguez Terrero, a representative from that sector, explained to CMKS that despite difficulties with fuel, lubricants, and the lack of parts, new public service routes with electric tricycles were established in the capital municipality and Baracoa, in addition to resuming railbus service in the capital city.<\/p>\n<p>He praised the efforts of managers, drivers, specialists, and technicians in transporting 1,300 tons of basic food products in just ten days, and plans to strengthen domestic shipping activities to Baracoa.<\/p>\n<p>The start of the university train, the benefit to patients treated at the oncology hospital in Santiago de Cuba, the care provided to infertile couples in the province of Holgu\u00edn, and people with kidney disease requiring dialysis are examples of the transporters&#8217; support for the Public Health sector.<\/p>\n<p>On the program &#8220;En Frecuencia con el Pueblo,&#8221; Alvernis Veranes, Provincial Delegate of Agriculture, addressed the listeners and discussed the many challenges facing this sector in producing the food needed by the population.<\/p>\n<p>To promote this sustainable agricultural development, he mentioned various investments this year, including the planting of 300 hectares (ha) under irrigation in Niceto P\u00e9rez, in addition to the aspiration to plant 500 ha of rice, the operation of a small-meat processing plant, the improvement of the cacao fermentation process, and prioritizing the production of bioproducts aimed at improving crop efficiency and import substitution.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a year in which the province of Guant\u00e1namo is recognized for national competition on July 26th, Yoel P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda, first secretary of the Party in Guant\u00e1namo, highlighted the alliance between science and agriculture to improve production results, which is already evident in bean and plantain varieties. He called for consolidating efforts to comply with the food sovereignty law and meet the demands of the people of Guant\u00e1namo.<\/p>\n<p>Yusif Borot Jim\u00e9nez, director of the Guant\u00e1namo Integral Construction Company, also appeared on the program &#8220;En Frecuencia con el Pueblo&#8221; (En Frecuencia con el Pueblo) dedicated to &#8220;Guant\u00e1namo in 26.&#8221; His men and women worked diligently to recover from Hurricane Oscar and are currently involved in the construction of photovoltaic parks to increase electricity generation capacity.<\/p>\n<p>They are also working on roadworks, such as sections of the Guant\u00e1namo-Baracoa Highway, the Guant\u00e1namo-Sagua Guant\u00e1namo-Yateras Highway, and in the southern part of the city.
