{"id":13634,"date":"2025-08-05T12:20:34","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T16:20:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/?p=13634"},"modified":"2025-08-05T12:20:34","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T16:20:34","slug":"creative-women-event-held-in-the-municipality-of-el-salvador","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/creative-women-event-held-in-the-municipality-of-el-salvador\/","title":{"rendered":"Creative Women Event Held in the Municipality of El Salvador"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13635\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/mujeres_creadoras_salvador-e1754395714706.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/mujeres_creadoras_salvador-e1754395714706.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/mujeres_creadoras_salvador-e1754395714706-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>Guant\u00e1namo.- The Creative and Empowered Women Event was held in the community of Bayate, Guantanamo, in the municipality of El Salvador, a space aimed at fostering inventiveness and putting imagination to work.<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by Yairi Fern\u00e1ndez Castellanos, Secretary General of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC, in Spanish abbreviation) in the province of Guant\u00e1namo.<\/p>\n<p>It highlights the sweets and jams made of coffee husk by Isolina Tiope Fonseca, the creation of tablecloths, sheets, and pillowcases by Marelis Soler Torres, and other attractive designs for household goods.<\/p>\n<p>The secretary of the FMC, in the easternmost Cuban province, explained that this event was an exchange of knowledge and a celebration where women demonstrated once again that they are true conquerors of the impossible.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting is a result of the recognition received by the Federation of Cuban Women in Guant\u00e1namo province in the celebration of August 23rd, the date commemorating the organization&#8217;s 65th anniversary.
