\u201cCuba has been and is a victim of a hostile and politically motivated use of digital platforms, aimed at subverting our domestic order, inciting violence, and destabilizing the country,\u201d Silvera underscored while speaking at the High-Level Segment for the signing of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The justice minister emphasized that this kind of action must be categorically rejected by the international community, and added that speaking of an effective and equitable fight against cybercrime without denouncing the impact of unilateral coercive measures is also impossible.<\/p>\n

The economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba, as well as our country\u2019s inclusion in Washington\u2019s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list, severely limits our access to technologies, software, platforms, and training, he said.<\/p>\n

The Cuban justice minister emphasized that this policy not only violates international law but also creates a digital gap, making us more vulnerable to cyber threats.<\/p>\n
