The company is deploying personnel and specialized equipment for cleaning highways, speeding up the restoration of road infrastructure in the province of Guant\u00e1namo, where mountain ranges covers the 75% of the land surface.<\/p>\n
Since the beginning of the month, Ingeco Holgu\u00edn has focused its efforts on the municipalities of San Antonio del Sur and Guant\u00e1namo, removing debris to restore roads, public spaces, and residential areas.<\/p>\n
Arturo Santiesteban Reyes, director of the company, reported to the Cuban News Agency (ACN) that crews from the Earthmoving Business Unit (UEB) have removed more than 8,500 cubic meters of debris in the easternmost region of the country.<\/p>\n
It is important to note that, since the preparation phase prior to the weather event, construction workers from Holgu\u00edn had already been collaborating with Guant\u00e1namo, facilitating access to hard-to-reach communities in the Caujer\u00ed Valley, in San Antonio del Sur.<\/p>\n
Simultaneously with their support in Guant\u00e1namo, Ingeco is carrying out a comprehensive recovery program in its own province, Holgu\u00edn.<\/p>\n
These tasks include the restoration of embankments, the installation of new pipes to repair damaged culverts, and the restoration of traffic flow and safety on key transport corridors in the country.<\/p>\n
The work is aimed at municipalities Rafael Freyre, Sagua de T\u00e1namo, Frank Pa\u00eds, B\u00e1guano, and Mayar\u00ed. A significant achievement has been the rehabilitation of the Moa-Baracoa highway section, where the workers rebuild the road surface and drainage system on Yagrumaje Hill damaged by a landslide, a task carried out in collaboration with the Holgu\u00edn Provincial Road Center.<\/p>\n
The largest volumes of sanitation work are being done in Rafael Freyre and the city of Holgu\u00edn, as well as in San Antonio del Sur, in Guant\u00e1namo, where tractors and other sweeping machines are being used, with the active participation of workers from the Asphalt, Hydrology, and Earthmoving Business Units.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
