It is hosted in the air at 450 meters above the sea level and it has a length of 6 kilometers on the so-called V\u00eda Azul, the 154-kilometer highway that connects the cities of Guant\u00e1namo and Baracoa.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10885\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10885\" style=\"width: 768px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10885\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Omnibus_Farola.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Omnibus_Farola.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Omnibus_Farola-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10885\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">La Farola Highway<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>La Farola also marks the transition from one geographical region to another with contrasting climatic and hydrographic characteristics: from the dry south, where rainfall is scarce and vegetation is semi-desert, to the north with abundant precipitation and lush flora.<\/p>\n<p>For the difficulty of its construction and the important function it fulfills by connecting and integrating with the rest of the island the city of <strong>Baracoa<\/strong>.
