\"\"Guant\u00e1namo.- Oni Nector S\u00e1nchez del Campo Gainza, a 76-year-old retired dockworker, is starting a new life in the recently established “24 de Febrero” community in Buena Vista, in the municipality San Antonio del Sur, in the Guantanamo Province.<\/p>\n

There, the first 15 shipping container homes in the province were inaugurated last February 1st. The container home design is a modern housing solutions for comfortable living, which were built to replace those whose houses were completely destroyed by Hurricanes Oscar in 2024 and Melisa in 2025.<\/p>\n

While expressing his gratitude to the government, the community, and the international organizations that donated the materials, he shows off his new home and says: “I’m satisfied and very grateful. This was promised, and it’s true,”<\/p>\n
