The book was written by Doctors of Science Eduardo Torres Cuevas and Yoel Cordov\u00ed Nu\u00f1ez.<\/p>\n<p>During the presentation, S\u00e1nchez Guerra, who is also a writer and researcher, spoke about the significance of this text for understanding and studying Cuban history from 1492 to 1898. He noted that the book is a valuable resource for readers, as it includes maps, documentary records, and explanatory charts.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, as part of S\u00e1nchez Guerra&#8217;s presentation of this historiographical research, published by Editorial Ciencias Sociales in the country, he recalled to the libertarian legacy of the illustrious Guant\u00e1namo patriot Pedro Agust\u00edn P\u00e9rez, leader of the independence uprising in La Confianza on February 24, 1895.<\/p>\n<p>The First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Guant\u00e1namo, the director of the Culture sector in the territory, Yoelvys Laba\u00f1ino L\u00f3pez, and Idaliena D\u00edaz Casmayor, President of the Municipal Assembly of People&#8217;s Power, participated in the event, accompanied by students and teachers from the Pedro Agust\u00edn P\u00e9rez Junior High School.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the event, teachers from the schools invited to the meeting, along with directors of institutions in the Culture sector and the Schools of Artistic Education in Guant\u00e1namo, received a copy of the book: &#8220;Memories of the Cuban Nation (I): Formation and liberation of the nation&#8221;, so that this text can also be included in their bibliographic heritage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guantanamo.- As part of the 47th Guant\u00e1namo Culture Week, the City Historian, Jos\u00e9 S\u00e1nchez Guerra, presented the book &#8220;Memoirs of the Cuban Nation (I): Formation and Liberation of the Nation&#8221; at the Major General Pedro Agust\u00edn P\u00e9rez House Museum.
