\"\"Guantanamo.- Daniel Milan\u00e9s Videaux, a prominent athlete from Guant\u00e1namo, has demonstrated remarkable progress in para-athletics, especially in the T47 category of the 400 meters.<\/p>\n

After beginning his athletic career in school and joining the sports complex in the Obrero neighborhood, Daniel participated in competitions for athletes with disabilities, in which he achieved first-place that motivated him to carry on with his training at the School Games.<\/p>\n

His outstanding performance at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, where he reached the final and placed sixth with a time of 49.31 seconds, marked a milestone in his career.<\/p>\n

Previously, in 2023, he won a gold medal at the VII Parapan American Games and overcame injuries that threatened his participation in international events. Under the guidance of coaches such as Liv\u00e1n L\u00f3pez Fonseca and Miriam Ferrer, he has consistently improved his times, achieving a personal best of 48.54 seconds.<\/p>\n

With the unconditional support of his family, Daniel is training for future challenges, including the Central American Games, in Mexico and his aspiration to compete in the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games. He is always seeking to bring honor to Guant\u00e1namo and Cuba.<\/p>\n
