It also flooded the area and wiped out bean and tomato crops.<\/p>\n<p>The extent of the damage, the limited resources available, the power outages and fuel shortages, plus the persistent flooding, have meant that the microjet&#8217;s production recovery has not progressed as initially planned.<\/p>\n<p>The low production has so far prevented the workers from attending the Guant\u00e1namo agricultural fair, although a significant increase in the harvest is expected next July.<\/p>\n<p>Source: Venceremos<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guantanamo.- The Yateritas Microjet Basic Business Unit, the province&#8217;s main banana-growing center, continues its recovery from the severe damage caused by Hurricane Melissa last October.
