Several young people from Guant\u00e1namo, representing various sectors, gathered there for an encounter where history and culture intertwine.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15807 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775920925547-1024x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775920925547-1024x460.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775920925547-300x135.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775920925547-768x345.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775920925547.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The exchange, presided over by Yoel P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda, secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province, Carlos Turro, Vice Governor, and other authorities from the municipality of Imias, was an opportunity to commemorate the event of the night on April 11, 1895, when Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed landed at Playita de Cajobabo, along with five other patriots, to join the war that began on February 24, 1895.<\/p>\n<p>P\u00e9rez Fern\u00e1ndez called for a commitment to continue working for a better country and to maintain the defense of the Homeland and unity, as a victory against the hostilities of the enemies of the Revolution.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The party leader also emphasized the responsibility that young Cubans have to continue the traditions of struggle of our Revolution, which have lasted for more than one hundred years.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also included graduates and new students training at the Party School Faculty to become future leaders of the Young Communists League, the Federation of Cuban Women, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, the Cuban Workers&#8217; Federation, and the Association of Small Farmers.<\/p>\n<p>Source: Solvisi\u00f3n<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guantanamo.- Just a few meters from the seashore where Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed, M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez, and four other independence fighters landed, stands the Museum 11 de Abril, a National Monument.
