\"\"Guantanamo.- Waving Cuban flags, chanting revolutionary slogans, and carrying signs commemorating the date, students from the Pedro Agust\u00edn P\u00e9rez Urban Basic Secondary School (ESBU) in the municipality of El Salvador, in Guantanamo Province, took to the streets to celebrate International Workers’ Day and to honor the centennial of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.<\/p>\n

The march traveled along several main streets of the town and surprised passersby and residents with the display of young people who, chanting slogans about unity and the continuation of the revolutionary work, visited different institutions in the area, such as the Di\u00f3medes Silveria Vald\u00e9s House of Culture.<\/p>\n

The students carried posters reflecting on the labor rights achieved after the triumph of January 1, 1959, as well as the enduring relevance of Fidel Castro’s ideology, in the context of the 100th birth anniversary of the Cuban Revolution’s leader.<\/p>\n

The activity, organized by the school administration and the Cuban Workers’ Federation in the region, aimed to strengthen the commitment to patriotic values \u200b\u200band the legacy of the Commander among the younger generations, as well as to pay tribute to Cuban workers on their day.<\/p>\n

The day unfolded in a festive and orderly atmosphere and concluded with a cultural gathering at the school areas, where the students’ commitment to celebrating May Day was evident.<\/p>\n
