\"\"Guantanamo.- Under a radiant sun, the mountain community of Bayate, in the municipality of El Salvador, Guant\u00e1namo Province, marked International Workers\u2019 Day with a celebration defined by unity, effort, and patriotic commitment.<\/p>\n

There were no grand speeches or fireworks. Instead, the tribute unfolded in the streets, where workers from various sectors led a parade that concluded in the Central Plaza.<\/p>\n

The territory\u2019s top political and government authorities joined the march and took part in a ceremony honoring union leaders for their outstanding contributions within the Turquino Plan.<\/p>\n

Organized into three groups, participants moved down the main road carrying the colors of the Cuban flag\u2014white, blue, and red.<\/p>\n

Together, they formed a human flag that advanced through the town to applause, as an impromptu choir broke into The Internationale.<\/p>\n

As part of the day\u2019s activities, the jury awarded first place in the union competition to the Education, Science, and Sports Union.<\/p>\n

The celebration also featured a distinctive moment: at the close of the parade, workers and residents gathered near the People\u2019s Council square to sign their commitment to the nationwide initiative, \u201cMy Signature for the Homeland.\u201d<\/p>\n
