\"\"Guantanamo.- The opening of the 11th Young Choreographers Meeting in Guant\u00e1namo, an event sponsored by the Hermanos Sa\u00edz Association (AHS) and running from May 14th to 16th, took place in the traditional gathering Bajo La Ceiba, in the central Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed Park, featured by dancers from companies Danza Libre, Fragmentada, Ballet Folkl\u00f3rico Babul, as well as Proyecto Loco and Rinc\u00f3n del F\u00e9nix.<\/p>\n

The young members of the “Al Paso” Children’s Dance Academy, led by art instructor Daniela Guilarte Matos, were invited to the opening event, which featured performances of the following choreographic works: “Una mitad” (One Half), by Danza Libre; “Mambo,” performed by the amateur artists’ project Rinc\u00f3n del F\u00e9nix; and “M\u00e9xico Lindo” (Beautiful Mexico), by the dancers of Proyecto Loco.<\/p>\n

Likewise, the performances by Danza Fragmentada and the Babul Folkloric Ballet, titled “Rumba” and “Bemb\u00e9-Rumba,” respectively, also characterized this opening moment of the Young Choreographers’ Meeting, which was attended by primary school students from educational centers in the Central People’s Council of Guant\u00e1namo City.<\/p>\n

The community presentation by dancers and art instructors specializing in this field in the University District, as well as the inauguration on the Facebook page of the Guant\u00e1namo provincial branch of the Hermanos Sa\u00edz Association (AHS) of the exhibition “Cartography of a Dream,” are also part of the first day of this 11th Young Choreographers’ Encounter, an event that will continue in the province until May 16.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
