This initiative aims to enhance local food production capabilities, strengthen rural community ties, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by key figures, including Alejandra Del Moral Vela, Executive Director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), and Miguel Ignacio D\u00edaz Rey, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Mexico in Havana, alongside Ydael P\u00e9rez Brito, the Minister of Agriculture, and other high-ranking officials from the Party and Government in Guant\u00e1namo.<\/p>\n<p>During the inauguration at the Mariana Grajales Coello Revolution Square, P\u00e9rez Brito addressed an audience representing the 200,000 beneficiaries of &#8220;Sembrando Vida.&#8221; She emphasized that the project&#8217;s goals align with those outlined in Cuba&#8217;s Plan for Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister highlighted the successful implementation of the project&#8217;s first phase in the provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque, which resulted in increased agricultural production, expanded productive areas, improved product commercialization, and enhanced incomes for participating families.<\/p>\n<p>The AMEXCID Executive Director conveyed a message of solidarity from Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, underscoring the project&#8217;s significance. The initiative is set to expand its reach to the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud and eight additional provinces, including areas in Eastern Cuba such as the municipalities of El Salvador, Guant\u00e1namo, San Antonio del Sur, Niceto P\u00e9rez, and Manuel Tames.
