\"\"Guant\u00e1namo \u2014 The national ceremony for Jurist\u2019s Day was held in the city of Guant\u00e1namo, bringing together senior legal professionals and young jurists committed to defending the homeland and national sovereignty.<\/p>\n

At the event, young lawyer Lisandra Premiot Torres read the Declaration of Principles of the National Union of Jurists of Cuba (UNJC) , which condemns recent acts of imperial aggression and reaffirms support for the Cuban Revolutionary Government amid escalating coercive measures by the United States\u2014chiefly the comprehensive fuel blockade.<\/p>\n

Premiot underscored Cuba\u2019s inalienable right to sovereignty and stressed the judiciary\u2019s commitment to strict enforcement of the law as essential to safeguarding the legality and continuity of the socialist project. The reading reaffirmed the legal profession\u2019s responsibility to tirelessly defend the nation and its core values.<\/p>\n

Speakers also recognized achievements in training mid- and upper-level law students and highlighted the active integration of young people into the profession, noting their leading role in local legal affairs, as emphasized by Sugranyes Ramos.<\/p>\n

The Antonia Luisa Cabal Concert Hall hosted presentations of the 2025 emulation results and awards for the best local and municipal delegations, as well as the most outstanding lawyers in the province and nationwide. The Provincial Law Prize and other individual honors were also presented in recognition of professional excellence and social commitment.<\/p>\n
