The community of Ojo de Agua, located in the 30 Aniversario settlement in the municipality of Baracoa, will officially welcome Summer 2026 on Friday, July 3, at 3:00 p.m., with the traditional Mango Festival, the venue of the celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The festivities will take place in Los Mangos de Bury, where residents and visitors can enjoy culinary exhibitions, live music, and a variety of community activities, according to information released by local authorities on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Situated in the predominantly agricultural community of Cabac\u00fa, the 30 Aniversario settlement is known for producing bananas, coconuts, cocoa, tomatoes, and a wide variety of fruits, with mangoes among its most representative crops.<\/p>\n<p>The Mango Festival showcases an impressive selection of traditional dishes prepared with the fruit, many of them served in gourds or small trays crafted from royal palm fronds.<\/p>\n<p>Featured specialties include chicken and pork dishes with mango pulp, as well as sauces, creams, desserts, smoothies, jams, flans, and breads.<\/p>\n<p>Awards are presented for the tastiest, most creatively prepared, best decorated, and most popular dishes.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to food tastings, the celebration features board games, sports competitions, boxing exhibitions, performances by young amateur artists, and entertainment from local comedy and musical groups.<\/p>\n<p>The festival is included in the region&#8217;s broader summer cultural program, which also includes festivals dedicated to sweets, cocoa, and seafood.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond its festive atmosphere, the event promotes greater appreciation of mango cultivation and its economic and cultural importance while strengthening community identity through one of the area&#8217;s most emblematic agricultural products.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guantanamo.
