These businesses would make cash payments to retirees at their own establishments.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the long lines retirees face when collecting their monthly pensions, Provincial Governor Alis Azahares Torreblanca urged local entrepreneurs to take on this social responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Although participation is voluntary, Bandec\u2019s Guant\u00e1namo branch said businesses that join the initiative will receive several benefits, including a financial bonus for each transaction and priority processing for services requested at bank branches.<\/p>\n<p>Private businesses will also have access to banking mechanisms designed to expedite loan applications.
