\"\"Guantanamo.- Virginia Orihuela Big\u00f1otte, a singer-songwriter from Guant\u00e1namo who is well-known as Virginia Guantanamera, has been selected to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Fox Music USA Latin Awards.<\/p>\n

The artist, a three-time Cubadisco Award winner and a member of the Latin Recording Academy, will receive the award during the 16th annual awards ceremony, which will be held in Texas, United States.<\/p>\n

Born in Guant\u00e1namo and currently residing in the Canary Islands, Virginia Guantanamera has enjoyed a career spanning more than 40 years. She has received seven Cubadisco nominations, winning the award in 2019, 2021, and 2022. She has also been nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Tropical Varied Music category.<\/p>\n

Virginia Guantanamera shared the nomination with five other Cuban artists: Claudio Rodr\u00edguez, in the Romantic Pop category; Liz Castillo Prieto, nominated for Best Romantic Salsa Singer and Best Duet; Eviel Morales, known as \u201cViely777,\u201d in the Latin Pop and Afrobeat categories; Mario Bened\u00ed, nominated for Best Christian Performance; and Alwin Dami\u00e1n, in the Best Romantic Ballad category.<\/p>\n
