The date pays tribute to Emilio B\u00e1rcenas Pier, better known as Tanganica, who was born on September 24, 1926, at the Ermita sugar mill. He later joined the Sierra Maestra during the revolutionary struggle.<\/p>\n

The closing activities of the commemoration also celebrate Erzili, the lwa associated with love, femininity, tenderness, sensuality, passion, beauty and good.<\/p>\n

Through music, dance, cuisine and community, cultural, and spiritual legacy of the Haitian community participation, the program highlights the cultural heritage in the country.<\/p>\n

Bringing together music, dance, gastronomy, and ancestral from Haiti during the first waves of Franco-Haitian immigration to eastern Cuba. The performance will traditions. Among the highlights is a workshop on Haitian ballroom dances, led by the acclaimed dancer and choreographer Guilberto F\u00e9lix D\u00edaz, affectionately known as Guille.<\/p>\n

He is accompanied by the Assossy\u00e9 group, dancers from the emblematic Danza Libre company, students from the Professional Dance School, and members of the Loco project, part of the territory\u2019s amateur artists\u2019 movement.<\/p>\n
