The Guant\u00e1namo Provincial Government Council\u2019s September session focused on the implementation and fulfillment of economic plan and budget targets across the province\u2019s municipalities, with particular emphasis on accounts receivable and payable, the collection of fines, and the implementation of tax policy.<\/p>\n

The meeting, chaired by Governor Alis Azahares Torreblanca, also addressed institutional communications and the use of social media to promote and defend Cuba\u2019s social project. Other topics included the housing program and the local production of construction materials.<\/p>\n

The Council further reviewed land-use planning, measures to prevent illegal urban development, and the current status of local development projects. In this regard, the importance of ensuring that these initiatives generate a tangible economic impact in the municipalities was emphasized.<\/p>\n
