The land is suitable for the production of various crops, including rice, coffee, cocoa and sugarcane, as well as for raising livestock, small animals and pigs.<\/p>\n<p>According to Alvernis Veranes Favier, the province\u2019s top agricultural official, the offers are part of the implementation of Cuba\u2019s economic and social transformations.<\/p>\n<p>The seventh thematic area, aimed at promoting agricultural recovery, calls in paragraph 58 for \u201cmodifying the management and use of land by all economic actors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Under the provisions of paragraph 58, real usufruct rights over land may be granted to state, private and mixed legal entities, as well as to individuals who apply for them.
