Conducted via teleconference with provincial Party and government leaders from the ten municipalities, the session featured insights from Yoel P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda, the Party&#8217;s First Secretary.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed the importance of proactive measures, stating that waiting for audits or inspections to identify tax evasion is insufficient, as this has already led to significant losses.<\/p>\n<p>P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda highlighted that millions of pesos remain unpaid by non-state economic actors due to inadequate monitoring of tax obligations by the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) and municipal Finance and Prices departments.<\/p>\n<p>He underscored that these funds are essential for public welfare and must be collected in a timely manner. Additionally, the meeting revealed concerning statistics regarding cash deposits, with only 12 percent of the expected daily intake reaching Bandec and 73 percent to BPA, contributing to cash shortages at ATMs.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the morning briefing, participants also evaluated the status of water infrastructure projects aimed at improving supply, along with issues related to electrical service interruptions and transformer replacements affecting over 900 residents.
