May Day parade in Guantanamo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Unlike other countries where the commemoration for the International Proletariat Day is dedicated to demanding better salaries, working conditions and other just demands, in Guantanamo this transcendental date is celebrated with achievements and motivations, despite the difficult economic situation facing the country.<\/p>\n

An example is the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR), made up of workers belonging to different sectors, who with their inventiveness contribute to mitigating the difficulties caused by the lack of spare parts for equipment, among other solutions in function of productions and services.<\/p>\n

This is highlighted by Miroslava D\u00edaz Boloy, member of the Provincial Secretariat of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC, in Spanish) that recognized the efforts of the labor movement in the different sectors to maintain production and services, despite the lack of raw materials, inputs and means, in addition to highlighting some outstanding groups.<\/p>\n

With these motivations and results, the people of Guantanamo participate in the May Day rally, with the participation of the mass and social organizations in general, together with the inhabitants of the different areas of the Guantanamo City.<\/p>\n

Likewise a fraternal group of visitors belonging to the Cuba S\u00ed organizations, from the German left-wing party (Die Linke, Germany) accompanied the Guantanamo people in the parade today, as in the main squares of the country which held rallies and parades this Friday under the slogan A la Patria manos y coraz\u00f3n (To the Homeland, hands and heart).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
