The 47th edition of the Political Song Festival, the longest-running event developed by the Hermanos Sa\u00edz Association (AHS) in Cuba, returns \u00a0to Guantanamo cultural scene, from August 1 to 4.<\/p>\nThe 47th edition of the Political Song Festival, the longest-running event developed by the Hermanos Sa\u00edz Association (AHS) in Cuba, returns \u00a0to Guantanamo cultural scene, from August 1 to 4.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the event will be dedicated to the 4th<\/sup> Congress of the AHS, to trova record production as a way to preserve musical memory and to the Guantanamo singer-song writer Josu\u00e9 Oliva, who celebrates 40 years of music career.<\/p>\n Presentations of books, records and video clips, exhibitions, conferences, trova \u00a0jam sessions, and visits to the Border Brigade, Antonio Maceo Order, penitentiary centers and communities, are some of the activities of the event.<\/p>\n The theoretical section of the Political Song Festival will have the presence of the researcher Antonio L\u00f3pez S\u00e1nchez and the musicologist Yorisel Andino from Santiago de Cuba; meanwhile, music concerts are held by renowned artists such as Tony \u00c1vila, Eduardo Sosa, Marta Campos, Heydi Igualada, Nelson Vald\u00e9s and Annalie L\u00f3pez, together with local troubadours.<\/p>\n The last day of the activities and concerts staged as part of the event are dedicated to IV Congress of the AHS, Pablo Milan\u00e9s and Josu\u00e9 Oliva himself, \u00a0and it also includes the traditional pilgrimage along Aguilera Street, from the House of the Young Creator to the Obelisk of the Martyrs of August 4 and a trova jam performed by Guantanamo troubadours and guest artists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The 47th edition of the Political Song Festival, the longest-running event developed by the Hermanos Sa\u00edz Association (AHS) in Cuba, returns \u00a0to Guantanamo cultural scene, from August 1 to 4.
