It has rivers, a bay, spas and a port that once saw a lot of fruit exported to the North; it has a cross and a statue of Christopher Columbus, who in 1492 &#8220;discovered warm water.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It was the first Cuban city, called Villa de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Asunci\u00f3n de Baracoa, today a municipality and only the Arawak name remained. The first cathedral was built here in the same way, for preaching the Gospel to the sinners of the \u201cnew world\u201d. There is a dark green in the jungle and bright colors in the town.<\/p>\n<p>Its people have the sweetness of the Miel River and the flow of the Toa River.
