{"id":5498,"date":"2023-11-19T09:06:04","date_gmt":"2023-11-19T14:06:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/?p=5498"},"modified":"2023-11-18T11:13:27","modified_gmt":"2023-11-18T16:13:27","slug":"cubans-in-angola-predict-success-of-the-4th-conference-on-the-nation-and-emigration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radioguantanamo.icrt.cu\/english\/cubans-in-angola-predict-success-of-the-4th-conference-on-the-nation-and-emigration\/","title":{"rendered":"Cubans in Angola Predict Success of the 4th Conference on the Nation and Emigration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-450f08e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con\" data-id=\"450f08e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;content_width&quot;:&quot;boxed&quot;}\">\n<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5d7854a elementor-widget elementor-widget-theme-post-excerpt\" data-id=\"5d7854a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"theme-post-excerpt.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">The president of the Association of the Community of Cuban Residents in Angola (ACCRA), Felix Arozarena, predicted the successes in the 4th Conference on the Nation and Emigration, which opened in Havana on Saturday.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>\u201cWe support Cuba, the Cuban family, and this meeting will be very useful for all of us who are outside our homeland,\u201d he stressed in statements to Prensa Latina.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that the issues to be discussed will be transcendental, we are confident that many of the affairs to be raised will be resolved, and that everything affecting us can be discussed, analyzed and seen,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Arozarena noted that unfortunately no representative from the ACCRA could attend the meeting at Havana\u2019s International Conference Center, where over 400 Cuban residents overseas are participating.<\/p>\n<p>This was due to the current economic difficulties and the suspension of TAAG flights to Havana in the months of November, December and January.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u201cwe will be aware of everything that will be discussed at the meeting,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Arozarena noted that difficulties to travel to Cuba are the biggest problem for the community living in Africa, since direct flights are scarce and the existing connections are expensive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has meant that many people can no longer travel on an annual basis, but every two or three years,\u201d he explained, adding that this does not prevent the sentiments of love and solidarity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCuba hurts us, it is within us,\u201d Arozarena assured.
