\"\"To achieve greater efficiency in all processes of the business system that allows the fulfillment of its product plans and reduce the chains of non-payments, was the key issue at the conclusions of the 15th<\/sup> National Verification of Internal Control, which was carried out from last September 18 \u00a0to October 30.<\/p>\n

The meeting that was chaired by the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the province and Lemay Fern\u00e1ndez Vel\u00e1zquez, Deputy Chief Comptroller of the Comptroller General of the Republic.<\/p>\n

Esbelin Mendoza Vel\u00e1zquez, Provincial Chief Comptroller, pointed out that \u201cthe verification was aimed at checking compliance with the law and preventive actions in the fight against crime, corruption and illegalities; as well as the 43 measures approved in the country to strengthen the socialist state enterprise.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the province, basic business units (UEB) of the municipalities Guantanamo, Baracoa and San Antonio del Sur were controlled, which belong to the Transportation, Construction and Local Materials of Construction and Hydraulic Resources enterprises, and the subsidiaries of Tobacco factory and Preserves and Vegetables, from the Caujer\u00ed Valley.<\/p>\n

Non-compliance with values of sales plans, expired accounts and receivables, improper execution of the budget for investments and operations without documentary support were among the deficiencies detected in the exercise of the comptroller’s office.<\/p>\n

The experts also detected the solution of problems that requires greater control and training actions by managers and workers, as well as better use of the internal controllers of the entities to detect and prevent any act of corruption and illegalities and possible damage to the budget of the entity<\/p>\n

At the meeting, Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor of Guantanamo, indicated \u201cworking with a plan of measures that provide solutions to the deficiencies detected with actions that also contribute to perfecting the actions of the companies’ development strategies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yoel Perez Garc\u00eda, first secretary of the Party in Guantanamo, called for \u201cusing the results of the verification as a tool that allows us to move forward, doing things well, which contribute to provide better services for the population.\u201d<\/p>\n
