ACN FOTO\/ Lorenzo CRESPO SILVEIRA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>More than 16 thousand students will begin the 2024 academic year at the University of Guantanamo on Monday, January 15, a period marked by modifications to match the teaching calendars of general education with higher education as in previous years, said Vladimir Naranjo G\u00f3mez, vice-rector ofprofessional training at the House of Science and Progress.<\/p>\n<p>This teaching cycle &#8211; he said &#8211; will be the last to be developed with the fiscal year modality and will conclude on September 27, as part of the process of adapting the study schedule affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>This new stage will have 30 teaching weeks, discounting the week off due to the Playa Gir\u00f3n victory, as well as the summer vacations.
