Guant\u00e1namo \u2013 The principles of the circular economy are assumed in the Guant\u00e1namo Province as part of the strategies for the development of the Environment and the territory in an integral manner, based on some 26 actions contemplated by the different organizations.<\/p>\n
The main objective is the use of the residuals that are generated from the work in different entities, \u00a0among\u00a0which\u00a0the\u00a0following\u00a0stand out\u00a0the Agriculture sector and others belonging to the Light Industry, highlights Miguel \u00c1ngel Queralta, specialist of the Environment subdelegation in the province.<\/p>\n
An example is the Agroforestry and Coco Enterprise, from Baracoa, which has a closed cycle of use of all the residues and waste as part of the productive activity, from the benefit to the industrial activity.<\/p>\n
In the case of the Light Industry, the Juan Marinello Printing Center is distinguished by the implementation of a practically closed cycle of treatment of its residues, which are used in alternative productions and provide income to the center.<\/p>\n
Likewise, the Guantanamo graphic unit has a 40 kilowatt hour photovoltaic panel bank that allows it to meet the energy needs for the development of the activity, in addition to contributing to the national system, significant savings in this regard and reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.<\/p>\n
The environmentalist says that Confecciones \u00c1mbar Enterprise also stands out, which recovers its waste and uses it in the production of goods for sale to customers. He points out that it has a project for the installation of photovoltaic panels.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the province has a system for the recovery of used oils in hazardous waste, given the shortage of lubricants for the operation of transport, in the midst of the complex economic panorama of the country.<\/p>\n
