All these materials remain for reference in the Guantanamo and Cuban press and for current and future generations.<\/p>\n<p>A representation of colleagues from all media attended the tribute that this room pays to the person who was awarded with the Provincial Journalism Award for Lifetime Achievement Jos\u00e9 V\u00e1zquez Sav\u00f3n, in 2010, the second to receive it; La Fama, symbol of the Guant\u00e1namo City; the 145th anniversary Plaque of the city and the 50th and 60th anniversary Medal of the Upec, among many other awards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guantanamo.- A room dedicated to the outstanding reporter Pablo Soroa Fern\u00e1ndez, who died on July 13 at the age of 78, was inaugurated at the headquarters of Cuban Journalists Association (Upec) in Guant\u00e1namo, in memory of the first journalism school graduate that the province had after the triumph of the Revolution.
