Guantánamo – The coffee growers of the Yateras Municipality aspire to develop the largest coffee harvest of the last 10 years. The harvest is scheduled to run from the end of 2024 to 2025, a stage in which it is expected to put into practice the measures of the Crop Development Program within the country’s work agenda until 2030.
The establishment of the internal force among those who stand out from regular pickers, the maintenance of the processing machines of the six settlement of the territory, are some of the actions that are carried out prior to the start of the harvest that is expected to achieve greater quality and yield of the coffee berries.
Likewise, work is being done to guarantee the much-needed mule program in these hills with hard-to-reach areas, as well as the quality of the harvest of the Robusta and Arabica varieties, other priorities that will guarantee compliance with the estimate planned for the stage.
