Yoel Pérez García, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party in Guantánamo, recognized all the sectors of local society that made Summer 2024 a success in the Cuban eastern province, during his remarks in the En Frecuencia con el Pueblo radio broadcast, this Saturday by the CMKS Trinchera Antiimperialista radio station, in which the achievements and difficulties of the sectors involved in the development of the summer stage and the dissatisfactions of the population were reviewed.

Accompanied by the renowned journalist Martha Reyes Noa, a regular host of the news program, the top political leader in the territory congratulated the workers of Culture, Education, Physical Culture, Sports, Commerce, Gastronomy, Transportation and the two Guantanamo Universities, hosts of the Summer Camps in July and August, with the offer of courses and other recreational and options.

Pérez García also highlighted the actions of the Cargo Transportation sector, in charge of the distribution of products for the family basket in province´s most remote, and the effort of the workers of Public Health and Water Services.

He recalled that the vacation period became the Summer of people in general and congratulated them for their contributions so that the summer period developed satisfactorily, since last March they began meetings with the political and government sectors to conceive the actions during July and August.

Also participating in the program were Joennis Samón Mora, coordinator of the provincial Government, as well as Yoelvis Labañino and Richard Cruz Alcedo, heads of Culture and Sports sectors in the eastern territory.

 

Work projections for the next months in the province of Guantánamo are announced

The first secretary of the provincial Committee of the Communist Party in Guantánamo, Yoel Pérez García, announced the work projections in the eastern territory for the rest of this year.

In this regard, he referred to the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year in the midst of complex situations related to the deficit of some material and living resources, which will be answered during the course of the school year, which will not prevent next Monday, September 2, from being a day to celebrate this achievement of the Revolution in Guantanamo, with the opening of the most important cultural project in Cuba: the school year.

Pérez García said that on the upcoming start of the coffee harvest, which is a challenge for residents in the mountainous areas, in charge of fulfilling the plans for harvesting and processing the exportable product in the second largest grain-producing province in the country.

He announced the development of a political process under the slogan “Podemos Más por un Enero de Victoria” (Together We Can Do More for a January of Victory), starting in September, in order to draw up a communication strategy to project what more can be done at the end of 2024 and make it better than previous stages.
