Guantanamo.-Yoennis Perdomo del Toro, a native of Imias municipality, was selected among several young people from Guantanamo to be part of the Together for Democracy delegation and represent Guantanamo province in the national meeting for the fifth anniversary of the Electoral Councils creation in Cuba.
Perdomo del Toro has more than 14 years as electoral authority in Imias, where he presides since 2022, whose fundamental mission is to organize, direct and supervise elections, popular consultations, plebiscites and referendums that are called.
“He is a young man with exceptional conditions, reliable and dedicated, qualities that make him trustworthy to represent Guantanamo province ”, said Oceania Orihuela Bignote, president of the provincial Electoral Council.
Visibly moved, Yoennis said he was happy to know the good opinions his fellow workers had about him, feeling a deep commitment to be selected for this delegation composed of 17 young people from all over the country, who from next June 7th will pay tribute to the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, in the patrimonial cemetery Santa Ifigenia, in Santiago de Cuba, and will also climb the Turquino Peak to pay tribute to our National Hero Jose Marti.
The socio-political process Together for Democracy joins the activities program being developed in all the Electoral Councils of the country in salute to the fifth anniversary of the constitution of these bodies of the State Central Administration, which will be commemorated on July 13th.
