Guantánamo – Program director Karel Díaz Castañeda, from the municipal radio station Radio Bahía, in Caimanera, together with journalist, scriptwriter and director Dairon Martínez Tejeda, from the provincial radio station CMKS, will represent Guantánamo in the thirty-fourth edition of the Antonio Lloga In Memoriam National Young Radio Workshop and Competition, which will take place in Santiago de Cuba from September 23 to 26.
Both Guantanamo natives make up the 85 radio broadcasters from 12 provinces of the country, which are competing in this prestigious contest, sponsored by the branch of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) and the Provincial Radio Directorate, in Santiago de Cuba.
The event is dedicated in 2024 to the scripts of unitary staged broadcast and to the 90th anniversary of CMKW Radio Mambí, and the 40th anniversary of the Radioarte Production Enterprise.
