Guantanamo will Show Valuable Experiences at 2019 TECNOGEST event
To promote sustainable development with the most effective application of science is the aim of the 11th edition of the 2019 TECNOGEST event from 10 to 12 of this month, which will be attended by more than a hundred specialists from various parts of the country and officials of the Scientific Society of Mexico.
Endeavored to improve the quality in the training of professionals in the Cuban easternmost territory, the University of Guantanamo welcomed the first 80 young people enrolled in Tourism and Mechanical Engineering careers, within five years.

Quality Cuban Education in Valleys and Hills, despite Helms Burton Law
Of the 774 Guantanamo schools that welcomed their students at the beginning of the new course, more than half are located in areas of the so-called Turquino Plan, and guarantee free and quality education to children in the mountains of this province, the of largest mountainous area of the country.
With the presence of Rafael Pérez Fernández, Member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, and First Secretary in Guantanamo, the provincial act of beginning of the 2019-2020 school year was carried out at Mártires 12 de Abril Elementary School, located in the Jamaica town, in the Manuel Tames Municipality
